Smart Component Architecture: Designing Dynamic Dashboards Without Overloading the Front-End

Financial dashboards packed with charts, swappable tables, and complex Filters can turn into a development nightmare and a source of countless front-end performance issues. Engineering leaders need a designer who doesn't just know how to produce a "pretty picture," but understands how the DOM is affected by the elements. In designing the Beehive system, the analytics screens were planned with an efficient Component Architecture in mind. We broke the dashboard down into fixed blocks (Widgets) that use a uniform data structure, which let the R&D team implement the interface smoothly while maintaining fast load times and high performance for the digital product.
